German screenwriter Hans Kräly is best known for the work he did in collaboration with filmmaker Ernst Lubitsch from the late 'teens. Before hooking up with the noted filmmaker/screenwriter, Kräly was an actor of stage and screen. He began writing scripts in 1912. Following emigration to Hollywood along with Lubitsch, Kräly also penned scripts of other directors.
