Blonde actress/director Nicole Garcia has appeared in numerous French and international productions. She made her first film appearance in Jacques Rivette's Duelle (1975). Some of her more notable roles include her portrayal of the wife in Alain Resnais' Mon Oncle D'Amerique (1980) and Outremer (1990). In 1990 Garcia made her directorial debut with Un Weekend sur Du. The second film she directed, Le Fils Préféré (The Favorite Son) (1994), earned Garcia Cesar nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, and a Best Actor award for Gerard Lanvin.
