Chanteuse Aubrey O'Day ascended from obscurity to instant celebrity in 2005 when selected by P. Diddy (alongside four other hopefuls) to form the sexy all-girl dance-pop act Danity Kane on the competitive reality series Making the Band 3). A San Francisco native with musical theater roots -- she appeared in a widely seen production of Annie at the age of 4 -- O'Day virtually grew up in the proscenium, enjoying roles in innumerable other musicals. Her career as a musical theater performer culminated on Broadway, with a shattering performance as Amber von Tussle in Hairspray: The Musical -- a role O'Day inherited from Haylie Duff.
