Gene Rayburn enjoyed tremendous, long-running success as a game show host in the U.S., starting in the 1960s and ending his career in the late '80s. Rayburn worked on numerous shows over that time period, but spent the vast majority of his time on the very popular show, Matchgame. He died in late 1999, at age 81.
