Some actors know from a young age that they're destined for the spotlight, but Argentine heartthrob and telenovela star Juan Soler claims he was never one of them. He didn't idolize actors as a kid, and never even considered it as a possible career. Instead, his passion growing up was rugby, which eventually led to a spot on Argentina's national team. But when a serious accident while working as a rancher caused him to reflect on his life, Soler realized that he felt unfulfilled. Eventually, he says, he turned to acting as a way to live as many different lives as possible.

Soler was born in San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina, on January 19, 1966. After beginning his acting career in his home country, he moved to Mexico in 1991 and quickly became a star of Spanish-language telenovelas. Among his biggest hits are Apuesta por un amor, Cañaveral de pasiones, and La Otra.

In spite of his success, Soler's most important priority remains his family; he even took a yearlong break from acting in order to spend more time with them. He has been married to actress Magdalena Moguilevsky since 2003, and the pair have two daughters named Mia and Azul. In addition, he has another daughter named Valentina from a previous relationship. Soler even cited his family as the reason why he decided to move again in 2012 -- this time to Miami -- saying that he wanted to provide the best possible life for his children.

Soler seemingly guaranteed himself a steady stream of work in 2013 when he signed a contract with Telemundo to appear exclusively in their original programming. Around that time, he also added an unusual new job to a resume that already included acting, modeling, and playing rugby: He became a spokesman for Honey Nut Cheerios as a part of their campaign to encourage Hispanic consumers to eat healthier.
