Character actor Bill English set himself apart from the pack by opting for one of the most unusual roles of the 2007-2008 TV season: he starred in the ABC sitcom Cavemen as Joel, the most sophisticated and polished of several Stone Age Neanderthals struggling to make it in contemporary Atlanta. English also appeared in the 2006 post-apocalyptic satire The Beach Party at the Threshold of Hell.
