The younger brother (by three years) of pop heartthrob (and ex-husband of Jessica Simpson) Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey followed in the footsteps of his famous sibling. Like Nick, Drew attended Cincinnati's School for the Performing Arts, where he triumphed in the arenas of academics, sports, and vocal performance. Drew then briefly enlisted in the army and worked as an EMT before the 19-year-old accepted Nick's invitation to travel to Southern California and join the white-hot boy band 98°. The ensemble scored a massive fan base and a Motown contract. After the group formally took a hiatus several years later, Drew achieved fame independently of Nick for performing in the celebrity contingent of the competitive reality series Dancing with the Stars. He and partner Cheryl Burke competed during the program's second season (in early 2006), and in fact won that season, beating such competitors as Julianne Hough and Joey Fatone. He later hosted the spin-off reality series Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann in 2008.
