British actress Lorraine Stanley initially established herself as an on-camera presence on television in the United Kingdom -- both in made-for-television features such as The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby (2000) and Rehab (2003), and in series such as The Inspector Lynley Mysteries. Stanley gained international attention with her turn as an aging streetwalker who goes on the lam from gangsters in Paul Andrew Williams' gritty urban thriller London to Brighton (2006) -- a lead she essayed opposite Alexander Morton and Sam Spruell.
