Best known for playing girlfriends and professional women with a slightly distinguished edge, Australian-born actress Anna Torv first made her name in her native homeland, with regular roles on Aussie network series including Young Lions, McLeod's Daughters, and The Secret Life of Us. Following a multi-episode turn on the BBC series drama Mistresses, and roles in the thrillers Traveling Light and The Book of Revelation, Torv moved toward Hollywood stardom with a regular role as FBI agent Olivia Dunham on the series Fringe by Lost progenitor J.J. Abrams.
