A native of Johannesburg, South Africa, actress Tammin Sursok moved to Sydney, Australia, with her family in early childhood and projected an intense interest in performance from a tender age. Later, Sursok trained formally as a speech and drama major at London's esteemed Trinity College, before hearkening back to the land down under and snagging her first major role as Dani Sutherland on the Aussie soap Home and Away (2002-2004). A move to Hollywood ensued, where Sursok landed parts in such projects as the features Crossing Over (2008) and Albino Farm (2009). Fans, however, will most commonly associate her with her portrayal of Colleen Carlton, mischievous (and somewhat foolhardy) daughter of Traci Abbott and Brad Carlton, on CBS's daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless. Alongside her acting career, Sursok also signed for a recording contract as a vocalist on Sony-BMG records, with her first single debuting on the Australian charts in fall 2004.

In 2009, her Y&R character was killed, and Sursok moved to more high profile projects. She starred in the Nickelodeon TV movie Spectacular! about a show choir and also contributed to the soundtrack for the film. Next, she joined the final season of the Disney series Hannah Montana in a recurring role as Siena, a love interest for Hannah's brother Jackson. In 2010, Sursok joined the ABC Family teen drama Pretty Little Liars.
