In Memoriam
Richard Lewis, 1947-2024
Known for his paranoid but insightful stand-up comedy, Lewis also had a surprising number of film appearances (usually acting as a version of himself). Aside from his commentary in documentaries, his notable roles include the tense film Drunks, the underrated comedies Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Wagons East, and in the Oscar winning Leaving Las Vegas.

Political Satire, Satire - Rated R - 109 Minutes - 1972
Director Michael Ritchie and executive producer/star Robert Redford satirically explore the machinations of media-age political campaigns in this political drama. Rumpled left-wing California lawyer Bill McKay (Redford) is enlisted by campaign maestro Marvin Lucas (Peter Boyle) to challenge the Republican incumbent for his Senate seat. McKay agrees, but only if he can say exactly what he thinks. His honesty unexpectedly captivates the electorate, and Lucas and company start to do what it takes to win, leaving McKay to ponder the consequences of his political seduction.
