Biography

Author, editor, and critic Damon Knight is noted for his work in science fiction. His 1950 short story "To Serve Man" was the basis for one of the better known episodes of the original Twilight Zone television series. In 1965, he helped found and became the first president of the Science Fiction Writers of America. He also edited the long-running (1966-1980) short-story anthology series Orbit.
