  • Named to the NAIA All-America Team in his junior and senior years at Central Arkansas.
  • Taken fifth overall by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 1987 NBA draft, but was traded to the Chicago Bulls for Olden Polynice.
  • Sat out Game 7 of the 1990 Eastern Conference finals against the eventual NBA champion Detroit Pistons due to severe migraines.
  • Was selected for the U.S. National Team, dubbed the Dream Team, in the 1992 Summer Olympics.
  • Along with Michael Jordan, was a crucial part of the Bulls in their NBA title "threepeats" in the 1990s (1991-93; 1996-98).
