Biography by AllMovie

Wolfgang Neuss was a very popular comic and socio-political West German satirist who performed on radio, in film and in cabarets. His favorite character was that of the wild, insane fellow whose nuttiness is well-grounded in oft-forgotten common sense. During the 1960s, Neuss' popularity among Establishment audiences sharply declined when he became heavily involved with supporting both student radicals and the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. He appeared in many films during the '50s and '60s.
