French producer Michel Bernheim began his career as an assistant director after graduating from the Sorbonne. As an assistant director, Bernheim worked with such distinguished filmmakers as Julien Duvivier. He later traveled to the U.S. where he dubbed many Hollywood movies into French. Bernheim was also a technical advisor on Arch of Triumph and Joan of Arc (both 1948). During his long and successful career, he also found time to work at his brother's talent agency.
