Irish Tenor Dennis Day is best known for the 25 years he spent working with Jack Benny, where he played the dim-bulbed but loquacious teenager who punctuated his lines with an enthusiastic "Gee, Mr. Benny." Day also appeared on the radio and on television, where at one point he had his own show. In addition, Day played in several films between 1940 and 1976. He got his start singing on Varieties, a CBS radio program.
