Czechoslovakian director Alfred Radok is best known for his work on-stage, but he has also directed a trio of feature films, most notably the internationally acclaimed Laterna Magica (Magic Lantern) (1958). Radok emigrated to Sweden a decade later after one of his films was banned by the government.
