American actress Marion Byron appeared in many early Hal Roach silent two-reel shorts. She was born in Dayton, Ohio and made her stage debut at the age of 13 in a Los Angeles production of Patsy. In films, she debuted opposite Buster Keaton in Steamboat Bill, Jr. when she was 16. While appearing in such Roach films as So Long Letty, Byron frequently appeared opposite Anita Garvin. In 1938, she made her final film, Five of a Kind, a biography of the Dionne quintuplets .
