A Miss Mexico runner-up in 1993, Nora Salinas transitioned from a teenage modeling career to what's now an accomplished acting résumé. The Monterrey, Mexico-born brunette broke into TV in 1994, playing Jessica in the telenovela Agujetas de color de rosa. She gained fame for her roles on Rosalinda (1999) and the 1997 remake of Esmeralda, with the latter earning her a 1998 TVyNovelas Award for her work as the tragic Graciela. Salinas followed a brief hiatus with her 2004 return to TV in the family drama Amy, la Niña de la Mochila Azul (Amy, the Girl With the Blue Schoolbag). And for her film debut, the part of Clara in the 2005 drama Cicatrices, the former beauty-pageant runner-up was awarded a 2006 Diosa de Plata (Silver Goddess) award.

Other major roles for Salinas have included Sarita on Fuego en la Sangre; Rebeca on La Tempestad; and Estefany on Amores con Trampa.
