Biography by AllMovie

During the 1930s, Milton Merlin penned screenplays for westerns like Henry Goes to Arizona (1939). In the early '50s, the House Un-American Activities Committee black-listed Merlin after he refused to testify before them. Merlin returned to writing in the early '60s, but this time he focused on television, where he penned scripts for such shows as The Millionaire, which he also produced, and episodes for Bonanza and I Spy.
