American actor Michael Trevino first gained recognition in his early twenties, for his role in the Disney Channel telemovie Cow Belles (2006) -- a nutty comedy of errors about a couple of young women (pop music sensations Aly and AJ) saddled with the arduous task of keeping a dairy farm afloat during their father's absence. Trevino also landed guest spots on such programs as Summerland, Charmed, CSI: Miami, and Bones. He then secured a semi-permanent role in the prime-time dramatic series Cane, starring Jimmy Smits. Trevino landed the regular role of Taylor Lockwood in the series The Vampire Diaries and became the first cast member to cross over to the spin-off, The Originals.
