Maxine Elliott Hicks started her acting career at the age of five in Denver, later moving to New York to perform. Her family was convinced to move to Los Angeles and they did just that. She proceeded to perform in over 200 silent films, as well as a handful of the new "talkies" in the 1930s. She returned to acting in theater and made a number of television and movie appearances, billed as Maxine Elliott. She died in early 2000, at the age of 95.
