The son of screenwriter Tom Geraghty, Maurice Geraghty penned the scripts for 20 films between the mid-'30s and the mid '50s. A Princeton graduate in 1928, he started out supervising western stories at Republic. In the '50s, he began producing many installments of the "Falcon" series. He directed and scripted the Sword of Monte Cristo and wrote the script for Love Me Tender, Elvis Presley's debut feature. Later Geraghty became a writer for several action television shows and westerns.
