Mainly known for Westerns -- in May of 1914 he filmed a two-reel oater, The Arrow's Tongue, for the famous 101 Miller Bros. outfit -- Farnum also helmed such mainstream melodramas as the Marie Corelli adaptation Wormwood (1915) and a Theda Bara version of the old barnstormer Lady Audley's Secret (1915). Hie died while scouting locations near Prescott, AZ.
