Mace Neufeld has produced a number of popular feature films and influential television productions. Born and raised in New York City, he first gained fame as a photographer in 1944, with his photograph of a veteran returning from the war, "Sammy's Home." The snapshot earned him ten national awards, including the Eastman Kodak First National Salon of Photography's grand prize and the designation of Picture of the Year by New York's World Telegram-Sun. Neufeld graduated from Yale and launched his career as a producer on stage. His film credits include producing The Omen (1976) and its two sequels with Harvey Bernhard, No Way Out (1987), Clear and Present Danger (1994), and Lost in Space (1998).
