American screenwriter Lee Loeb worked for Columbia Pictures from 1935 to 1937. Loeb then moved to RKO, where among many other projects he co-scripted the Astaire-Rogers musical Shall We Dance (1937). During the 1940s, he worked for studios as varied as 20th Century-Fox and Republic. Lee Loeb retired in the 1950s, but not before contributing to the scripts of Universal's Abbott and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1953) and Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy (1955).
