Special effects wizard Kit West has earned several major awards for his work and has worked on productions the world over. His awards include an Oscar for Raiders of the Lost Ark (1983), an Oscar nomination for Young Sherlock Holmes (1986), a BAFTA for Return of the Jedi (1984), and a Spanish Academy Award nomination for Todo Por la Pasta (1991). As versatile as he is creative, West has worked on films ranging from The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976) to Dune (1984) to Dragonheart (1996).
