Josefina Molina is the first woman to earn a degree in directing from Spain's Official Film School. Soon after, she began working as an assistant director in Spanish televsion where she worked with and directed over fifty dramas. She simultaneously pursued an active career on the radio as a film critic; she also has directed theatrical plays. Her 1984 dramatic television series Teresa de Jesus is considered a Spanish classic.
