Beginning his career as a supporting actor who played small roles in Mister Roberts and Seminole Uprising (both 1955), Jim Moloney switched to screenwriting in the 1980s. Moloney wrote the scripts for The Fiendish Plot of Fu Manchu (1980) and the television movie The Night They Saved Christmas (1985).
