Lead actor, onscreen from the '70s. He is the brother of actor David Naughton.

Made his off-Broadway debut in a 1971 production of Long Day's Journey Into Night, and his Broadway debut in the 1977 musical I Love My Wife.
Starred in the film version of The Glass Menagerie (1987), directed by Paul Newman. In 2002-03, he directed a Broadway revival of Our Town, starring Paul Newman as the Stage Manager.
Portrayed Billy Flynn in the 1996 Broadway revival of Chicago.
Appeared in his first one-man show, James Naughton Live at the Manhattan Theater Club, in 1998.
Released an album titled It's About Time in 2002.
Commercial work includes voice-overs for Jeep and appearances in ads for the drug Nexium.
