Henry Armstrong, born Henry Jackson, is best known as a championship boxer who was inducted in the Boxing Hall of Fame with his cohorts Joe Louis and Jack Dempsey. He is the only boxer to have ever held the featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight world titles at the same time. Following his retirement from the ring in the mid-'40s, he turned to the ministry and eventually wrote his autobiography, Gloves, Glory and God, a decade later.
