Helen Jerome (1883–1966) was a British-Australian journalist, author and playwright most famous for her adaptation of the Jane Austen novel, Pride and Prejudice for the stage. She is credited with having created the first heartthrob, desire-filled version of Austen's hero, Mr. Darcy.
