Producer Harry Tatelman spent his career at Universal Studios working in a variety of positions. His most notable post was an eight-year stint as the head of the studio's literary department. He was a prolific television producer and was behind over 300 hours of programs including 77 Sunset Strip and Colt 45. Tatelman also produced movies such as Hot Blood (1956), Raid on Rommel (1971), and Damon Wayans' Major Payne (1995). Tatelman died following a brief illness on April 26, 1997. He was 82 years old.
