Biography by AllMovie

A pioneering Western star, Kansas-born Goldie Colwell was Tom Mix's leading lady in at least 25 Selig Westerns in the early 1910s. Colwell also appeared opposite early matinee idol Harold Lockwood in a couple of melodramas and was featured in The Adventures of Kathlyn (1913), the first serial with holdover suspense. The Mix Westerns followed the serial, but she was eventually replaced by the cowboy's future wife, Victoria Forde, and, no longer in the first bloom of youth, retired in 1919.
