Biography by Hans J. Wollstein

A dark-haired stage actor who had scored a hit on Broadway in Truth opposite Grace George, Frank Goldsmith's screen career was mainly devoted to villainy, most notably as the Marquis in Theda Bara's The Two Orphans (1915) and as the crooked DA in Man's Woman (1917). Goldsmith left America in favor of Great Britain in 1920 and appeared in such British films as The Mystery of the Dancing Men (1923), a Sherlock Holmes drama starring Ellie Norwood.
