French-born actor Francis Renaud began appearing in film and on TV in his native country in the early '90s, eventually making waves in the United States. Having long since established a bent toward the horror genre in Europe, Renaud transitioned into American film by appearing in 2002's The Code, as well as movies like 2006's Scorpion and 2008's Mutants. In 2009, Renaud had some success on both sides of the Atlantic, with a role in the French-language romantic comedy Queen to Play, which also caught the attention of American audiences.
