Born in Three Hills, Alberta, Erica Durance is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Canada who first made an impression on television viewers by following in the footsteps of actress Margot Kidder with her portrayal of intrepid Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane on the popular Superman series Smallville. Appearances on such popular sci-fi television series as Tru Calling, Stargate SG-1, and Andromeda served well to help the rising star solidify her genre credibility, but the actress would earn even more accolades for her perofrmance on the medical drama Saving Hope.
