Biography by AllMovie

American screenwriter Edmond Seward freelanced throughout the 1930s, working on projects ranging from the horse-race drama Thoroughbred (1936) to the cartoon feature Gulliver's Travels. From the early '40s to his retirement in 1953, Seward was most closely associated with Monogram pictures. During his tenure at this studio, he wrote or co-wrote 12 entries in the popular Bowery Boys series. Curiously, Edmond Seward is incorrectly billed as "Edward" on the credits of his final Bowery Boys film, Jalopy (1953).
