Film and sound editor Edward Beyer began working in feature films in the early '60s. Some of his best efforts can be seen in films such as The Miracle Worker (1962), Short Eyes (1977), and The Cotton Club (1984). Beyer died in Los Angeles on October 12, 1997, one month after undergoing open heart surgery.
