Biography by Hal Erickson

British screenwriter Dudley Leslie was active from 1936 to 1949. Usually working in collaboration, Leslie started out in such modest programmers as Sensation (1936). Subsequent credits include the mirthsome Housemaster (1938) and the melodramatic Black Eyes (1939), both starring American actor Otto Kruger. Many of Dudley Leslie's screenwriting contributions in the late 1940s, notably The Golden Madonna (1949), were uncredited.
