David B. Wallerstein was considered a great showman and is credited for bringing such popular refreshments as buttered popcorn to movie theaters. The promoter brought live acts to be shown between films; he was also a pioneer of televised sports. He was closely associated with Walt Disney and was a key figure in convincing the ABC television network to finance the construction of Disneyland.
