Biography by AllMovie

A pretty, blond silent-screen ingenue, Constance Howard from Omaha, NE, appeared in a couple of cute comedies -- Hold That Lion (1925), opposite light leading man Douglas MacLean, and The Night Bride (1927), opposite the vivacious Marie Prevost -- and usually exhibited a cool detachment to the surrounding mirth. Low-budget Sterling Pictures took ads out promoting her as Hedda Hopper's ingenuish daughter in The Cruel Truth (1927), but the society drama did not live up to expectations and neither did Constance Howard's screen career, which ended prior to sound.
