Screenwriter Charles Beaumont is best known for his science fiction and horror scripts and literary adaptations. He began writing as a young teenager and came to Hollywood when he was only 18. Though it took him a long time, eventually, in the late 1950s, Beaumont became a screenwriter. Unfortunately, he died after penning only nine films. He was killed by the lingering effects of the spinal meningitis he had suffered as a child.
