A blond actor from Sweden, Carl Axcelle played quite a few bit roles in Hollywood films of the late 1910s and early '20s, including the 1917 Eddie Polo serial Bull's Eye, but he was even busier monitoring the career of his young daughter, Violet (b. 1912), a moppet star wannabe. Axcelle, who was married to British actress Evelyn Axcelle (1890-1977), later became a noted makeup artist who worked on such major releases as the Helen Gahagan version of She (1935).
