Biography by Hal Erickson

One of the founders of the Screen Writers Guild, American-born author Brian Marlow entered films in 1931. Specializing in mysteries and melodramas, Marlow spent several years at Paramount, toiling away on such films as Supernatural (1933), The Preview Murder Mystery (1936) and Among the Living (1941). He also occasionally wrote for Warner Bros., Columbia, and independent producer David L. Loew. Brian Marlow's final and most uncharacteristic--screen credit was the 1952 Martin and Lewis vehicle Jumping Jacks.
