Born in Winchester, Virginia on June 18th, 1956, Brian Benben decided to pursue acting after spending two years at a community college in New York. After moving to New York City, he found work in supporting or bit parts (Dark Angel, Radioland Murders). Benben is best known for his role on HBO's television series Dream On (1990-1996), and as the character of Dr. Sheldon Wallace on Private Practice.
