Billy Lee was a child actor who appeared in many films from the mid '30s through the early '40s. He got his start in 1934 with Paramount after appearing in one episode of the "Our Gang" series. His most famous role was in The Biscuit Eater (1940) a "B" film about an interracial childhood friendship that had surprising success with mainstream audiences. A drummer since appearing in the 1937 film Cocoanut Grove, he later founded the Billy Lee Band. They performed in one film, Reg'lar Fellers (1941). Lee retired from film in 1943.
