Biography by AllMovie

A gray-haired comic actor from Peoria, IL, Bert Woodruff (born William Henry Woodruff) became a member of bucolic star Charles Ray's stock company and even co-wrote (with Charles E. Banks) Some Pun'kins (1925), in which he also played the girl's father. He also enjoyed good roles in the still extant The Vanishing American (1925) and Harold Lloyd's Speedy (1928) but was reduced to bit parts after the advent of sound.
