Biography by Hal Erickson

Author/lyricist Bert Lee was active on Broadway as early as 1914. When talkies came in, Lee went to Hollywood to think up story treatments and additional dialogue, often sans screen credit. Evidently he spent most of the 1930s in the British film industry. One of Bert Lee's few confirmed movie assignments (uncredited as usual) was the 1935 Betty Balfour vehicle Squibs.
