Versatile costume designer Bernice Pontrelli worked for some of Hollywood's biggest studios and worked as the head of the wardrobe department at RKO. In the states since childhood, Pontrelli got her start with the Western Costume Company in Hollywood during the early '30s. She has created clothing for everything from sci-fi to contemporary dramas to Westerns and has also worked as a costumer on television series. In addition to her costume designs, Pontrelli also created a line of women's sportswear.
